CLARIN Annual Conference 2018 in Pisa, Italy
The CLARIN Annual Conference is the main annual event for those working on the construction and operation of CLARIN across Europe, as well as for representatives of the communities of use in the humanities, and social sciences.
This event is organized by CLARIN ERIC in collaboration with the Institute for Computational Linguistics (ILC) that is part of the Department of Social Science and Humanities, Cultural Heritage (DSU) of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR)
CLARIN2018 is organized for the wider Humanities and Social Sciences communities in order to exchange ideas and experiences with the CLARIN infrastructure. This includes the design, construction and operation of the CLARIN infrastructure, the data, tools and services that it contains or should contain, its actual use by researchers, its relation to other infrastructures and projects, and the CLARIN Knowledge Sharing Infrastructure.

CLARIN2018 will take place from 8 till 10 October in Pisa, Italy.
The CLARIN Bazaar
The CLARIN Bazaar is an informal space at CLARIN2018 where you can meet people from other centres and countries, find out about their work in progress, exchange ideas, and talk to people about future collaborations. The bazaar will provide an informal setting for conversations with CLARIN people, and space to show your work to colleagues on their laptop computer, and distribute handouts and leaflets.

The Galileo Galilei International Airport of Pisa (PSA / LIRP) is the 11th busiest airport by passenger traffic in Italy, the 2nd one of Central Italy after Bologna. There is a high-speed, fully automatic People Mover service for direct connections between the Pisa Centrale railway station and the airport. The PisaMover stop is located just outside the airport, and this service is available every day from 6:00 AM to midnight at 5/8 minute intervals.
“Pisa Centrale” railway station is the main railway station of the city and one of the busiest Tuscan railway stations.
Frequent trains run to Livorno, Lucca, Florence, Milan, Genoa, Turin and Rome.

The station is at the southern edge of the city centre, around two kilometers from the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The taxi rank and the bus stop for urban routes can be found outside the railway terminal.
Pisa can be easily reached also by car through the FI-PI-LI highway (from Florence or Livorno), the A12 motorway or the state highway 1 Aurelia (from Rome or Genoa).
