Persistent Identifier questionnaire

As a preparation for an overview of the use of PIDs within CLARIN we would be grateful if you could answer the following questionnaire. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

General questions
Centres with handles
Which setup do you use?
Only for centres that are already using persistent identifiers. If you are setting up a centre, please skip this.
Centres under construction
Which setup do you plan to use?
Note that EPIC (version 1) is not listed here as it is being phased out for new members in favour of version 2.
Only for centres that are 'under construction'. Existing centres can skip this.
Looking forward
Do you consider the use of DOI at your centre?
This question is about the potential use of Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) at your centre. This system is based on handles but has additional requirements (like minimal metadata) when issuing a DOI. Organisations like DataCite and EPIC can provide DOIs. A comparison between the DOI and the Handle system can be found here.
EUR/year
Suppose a centre has to pay a yearly subscription fee for a PID-service like EPIC. What would be a reasonable price-setting (in euro/year)? Please note that this is just a thought exercise in order to try to get a grip on cost models. It is not said that such a service will be instantiated and/or will have to be paid by each individual centre.
EUR/year
Suppose a centre has to pay a yearly subscription fee for a PID-service like EPIC. What would be the maximal price you would be willing to pay (in euro/year)? The alternative would be running your own handle server. Please note that this is just a thought exercise in order to try to get a grip on cost models. It is not said that such a service will be instantiated and/or will have to be paid by each individual centre.
