Ten-Year Anniversary for CLARIN

Submitted by Elisa Gorgaini on 28 February 2022
CLARIN is ten years old! At the end of February 2022, CLARIN celebrates its ten-year anniversary as an independent organisation and research infrastructure. And while in-person celebrations and festivities have had to be postponed until later in the year due to the pandemic, we would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to all of you who have contributed to or been part of the CLARIN community over the past decade. Thank you for supporting and enriching CLARIN since its inception in 2012, and for helping it become what it is today: an infrastructure that is a key enabling facility for and by researchers working with language data and services.

To mark this important milestone, CLARIN is publishing a book this year: CLARIN. The Infrastructure for Language Resources (Berlin: de Gruyter, 2022), edited by Darja Fišer and Andreas Witt. The volume will showcase the rich panorama of resources and services that have been developed over the past years under the umbrella of CLARIN.

Here’s to the next decade!
