How can component metadata help to achieve interoperability with existing language resource metadata?

This important question will be addressed during a workshop in Utrecht organised by CLARIN-NL. We will discuss the interoperability between CMDI metadata and other metadata practices such as . There is still is a lot of discussion about the best way to either transfer existing metadata schemas or records into CMDI. We will be provide succesful examples of how this is being done in practice. Moreover, we will discuss what the CLARIN community and others can do to facilitate these succesful ways of dealing with this difficult issue.
