CLARIN offers (via LINDAT/CLARIN-CZ) an easy-to-use inventory for language resources (and tools). It allows you to:
- Browse through the submissions
- Submit metadata (and optionally data) about relevant language resources
It differs from the other Depositing Services in that:
- It does not require users to upload data, metadata (e.g. a link to a website and a description is enough)
- It can be used immediately, without contacting the hosting centre beforehand
This inventory is fully integrated into the CLARIN infrastructure, as:
- Its metadata is openly available:
- via the Virtual Language Observatory
- all of it can be harvested
- in the standard-compliant CMDI format
- each submission is referable via a persistent identifier (handle)
- users can login via federated identity (with the CLARIN Identity Provider as fallback)
- long-term archiving is guaranteed:
- the hosting centre, LINDAT, successfully participated in:
- the metadata (gathered since 2008) has been extensively curated.
