The department's focus is on the semantic and formal indexing and mediation of digital representations of cultural artifacts. Key areas are: 1) Research into the effects of digitalization on methodological approaches and knowledge processes in the humanities, and the impact of the use of digital methods on culture and society 2) Collaboration on a digitally supported research culture in the humanities, in particular the maintenance and further development of a logistical and technical research
