PID Services talk

CLARIN event
Face-to-face meeting
Date
Thursday, 19 June, 2008 - 16:00 - 19:00
Location
Nijmegen, Netherlands
Lat. 51.841692, Long. 5.858651
Event description

Persistent and unique resource identifiers will play in the management and referencing of/to language resources and even services in increasingly important role. It is obvious that all of us who want to build LRT centers will be confronted sooner or later with the problem of supporting PIDs and registering their resources at a PID resolving service.

On June 19, Nigel Ward who is leading the Australian national PILIN project will come to Nijmegen together with one of his chief technologists and give a talk about their solution for a national PID system. It has many aspects which are exemplary for CLARIN. We would like to invite you to come to the MPI Nijmegen to participate in this CLARIN workshop. We expect the talk to start at 14.00, the exact time will be announced at the web site. There will be enough time for discussion.

PID talk on streaming

Hi,

I'm Riccardo from Pisa. I've already registered at this event, but, really, I can't say whether I may come. Because I've to be away 3 days for an half-day event.

I'm, however, really interested in the topic.. so what about registering the event in streaming ? In this way the event could be downloadable from the internal clarin web site.

Thanks Riccardo

video recording

Hi Riccardo, I'm trying to find out whether it is feasible to make a video recording. As soon as we have clarity on that I will update the site.

video recording

Thanks a lot, Dieter

I'm reading some referenced pilin documents. They are really interesting; so the PID talk will be very interesting as well.

Nice opportunity to have a video record, if possible.
